Arrive at Cochin, where on arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. Its name itself brings up thoughts of fishing nets, spices, Ayurveda, and ships sailing over the blue sea. Appearing to be growing daily and different from the rest of Kerala, it’s a fusion of traditional and modern cultures. With skyscrapers touching the sky on one hand against the shadows of the majestic Fort, Kochi is everybody’s delight. Interestingly, the common factors between both these worlds are the red city buses, yellow auto-rickshaws, and ever-friendly people.

From old times, the city has been host to Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese, French and British traders who also came here to admire this piece of beauty. It now is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country with three IT parks in close proximity. It isn’t difficult to determine the potential of this city in terms of business and employment. To sum it up, Kochi is the best starting point to explore God’s own country, since the most famous places in Kerala are here, close to each other. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. OVERNIGHT IN COCHIN.

Breakfast at the hotel. Later enjoy a city tour covering Mattanchery Palace-gifted to the king of Cochin by the Portuguese in 1555, about 500-year-old Jewish Synagogue, St Francis Church; Chinese fishing nets; and a local spice market. Later in the evening, enjoy the colorful performing art of Kathakali Dance. OVERNIGHT IN COCHIN

After breakfast, drive to Munnar, which derived its name from the confluence of the three rivers around which the town grew. Today, it offers beautiful vistas, cardamom and spice plantations, aromatic oil factories, sights of several endangered species, and the purple-blue of the Neelakurinji flowers that bloom every 12 years.

On arrival in Munnar, check in at the hotel. Later proceed towards the Tea Museum, which gives an insight into the history of tea plantations in this region. Later visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Flower Garden. OVERNIGHT IN MUNNAR

Today you’ll visit one of the tea and cardamom plantations that decorate the pretty hills of Munnar. Learn about the history of the area and the process of making tea and coffee from the first shoots of the green plants to bagging and distributing all over the world. In the afternoon, you could take a hike through the misty plantations or simply relax at your hotel and enjoy the cool breeze high up in the hills.

Or visit the Rajmalai Wildlife Sanctuary—this is the only sanctuary in India where Indian Ibex are found—followed by a visit to the Kannan Devan Hills. From here you can have a panoramic view of Munnar Tea Estates & the Lake of Munnar. (Eravikulam national park/Rajamalai national park is same, which is closed from 5th January till 5th April every year. Instead of Rajamalai we can give them 3-hours Jeep Safari near Munnar; we need to communicate the same to the traveller, also to be mentioned in the itinerary & Vouchers)

The periyar wildlife sanctuary – Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady, is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves – the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq.km is thick evergreen forest. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 1978.

The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. After breakfast, start your drive to Thekkady (Periyar), and on arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. OVERNIGHT IN THEKKADY

Post breakfast, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Periyar. Set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats in Kerala is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Herds of playful wild elephants have made Periyar Lake their favorite haunt for frolicking in the water. They can be witnessed bathing and swimming here.

Enjoy a boat ride on the lake to view the wildlife at close quarters. Other inhabitants of Periyar include the leopard, wild dog, barking deer, mouse deer, Nilgiri langur, bonnet macaque, sambhar, porcupines, squirrels, gaur (Indian bison), wild boar, and sloth bear. Later, take a spice plantation tour. The aroma and pleasant ambiance of the spice and tea plantations of Periyar are fascinating. Spices found in Thekkady include pepper, clove, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric, vanilla, and curry leaves. OVERNIGHT IN THEKKADY

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey and board your houseboat on arrival. Alleppey, “Venice of the East,” has a large network of backwater canals that meander through the town, surrounding villages, and Vembanad Lake. Cruise through the beautiful and scenic backwaters of Kerala while you stay in a houseboat. OVERNIGHT ON A HOUSEBOAT.

Check out at 10 o’clock & depart to Kumarakom. After breakfast at the hotel , drive to Kumarakom, which is the heart of beautiful backwaters and lagoons. The area is interlinked with hundreds of winding canals and typical low-slung country boats that carry everything from people to ?sh, rice, and coconuts to the milkman and newspaper boy. On arrival, you will check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing. Sunset cruise in the evening from 17 00 to 18 00 hours Overnight stay at the hotel in Kumarakom.

The full day is at leisure at the backwater resort; enjoy the inhouse facilities at the backwater resort. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise from 17 00 to 18 00 Hours on the Vembanad Lake and an overnight stay at the backwater resort in Kumarakom.

Time to go! You’ll check out after breakfast and head to Cochin as per the flight timings for some last-minute shopping and sightseeing endeavors, after which you’ll be taken to Cochin Airport depending on your flight departure time. We hope you’ve had a wonderful trip!
