Day 01: Chennai
Upon arrival in Chennai at met by our representative and get transferred to your hotel,Chennai. Check in at the hotel at Chennai. India’s fourth largest city is also called the Gateway to the South. From a tiny hamlet in 1639, it grew around the Fort St. George built by the British .A lush green city famed for its temples, silk, music and dance, Chennai gives a sense of serenity and spaciousness, enhanced by one of the world’s largest and most beautiful beaches, the Marina beach. Day 02:ChennaiMammallapuram
Today proceed to Mammallapuram – famous for being a sculptor’s delight. There are 14 cave temples, nine monolithic rathas, three stone temples and four relief sculptured rock panels. Built in the Dravidian style in the 7th and 8th century, most of them are dedicated to Vishnu or Shiva. Sights include the Shore temple (a World Heritage site), Arjuna’s Penance, the Five Rathas, various mandapams etc. The sculptures here depict deities, animals, Hindu fables and scenes of everyday life. Check in to the hotel at Mahabalipuram and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03:Mammallapuram to KancheepuramMammallapuram
Kanchipuram is a Hindu Holy City and capital of the Pallava dynasty from the 7th to 9th centuries AD, is renowned for temples and silk, and you will see plenty of both. The temples range in date from the 8th to the 17th century. The latest building was impressive in its size, the height of its gopuram, the intricacy of its carvings and wealth of colour, but, the earliest temples, of golden sandstone, are more aesthetically pleasing, the only colour provided is by a flock of ring-necked parakeets. Across the road is a workshop where men sit at a loom, weaving fabrics that you will recognize immediately as “Madras cotton”. However, Silk-weaving takes place on a grander scale than the cotton-weaving in this town dotted with cottage workshops. You could visit a factory where all the processes of spinning, dyeing and weaving take place, Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 04: Mammallapuram Pondicherry
Today proceed to Pondicherry,. Pondicherry has a glorious history. A lot of foreign rulers have been here including the Portuguese, the Dutch, the Danes, the English and the French. But out of all of them, the French have had the greatest influence with their rule spreading across centuries. Pondicherry is a blend of spiritual institution, French colonial heritages, Tamil culture and a cosmopolitan form of life. The city is full of French colonial buildings, clean and wide streets and the sprawling premises of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. This territory is important from spiritual as well as from cultural point of view. Spend the day exploring Pondicherry by visiting its Sri Aurbindo Ashram, Promenade and Pondicherry Museum. Check in and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Pondicherry Trichy
Post breakfast in the morning, check out and proceed to Trichy. Theattractins that you will visit include Rock Fort Temple, Jambukeshwara Temple and Srirangam Temple. Stay overninght in Trichy.

Day 06: Trichy Madurai
Drive to Madurai. On arrival, get transferred to the hotel and check in. Madurai, the second largest city of Tamil Nadu, is an important cultural and commercial center. With a history going back to the 6th century BC, it was once the seat of Tamil learning and still the place where the Tamil language is spoken in its purest form. The old city was planned in the shape of a lotus with the Meenakshi temple, the town’s main attraction, at the center. Madurai has long been a center of learning and pilgrimage. Its main event is the 14 day Chithrai festival every April/May,Evening watch Aarti ceremony at the famous Meenakshi Temple. Day 07: Madurai
Take a half-day city tour of Madurai visiting the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva. It is an outstanding example of Dravidian temple architecture, with towering Gopurams covered with stucco images of gods, goddesses and animals. The sanctuary is open only to Hindus. Also visit the TirumalaNayak Palace, a gracious 17th century building in the Indo-Saracenic style famous for stucco work on its domes and arches.Overnight in Madurai

Day 08: Madurai Periyar
Check out after breakfast and proceed to Periyar. The periyar wildlife sanctuary – Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of periyar in thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves – the periyar wildlife sanctuary, spread across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq.km is thick evergreen forest, the periyar wildlife sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the mullaperiyar dam across the periyar river adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in india where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. Check in and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: PeriyarKumarakom
Today you will travel to Kumarakom,upon arrival in Kumarakom, Kumarakom is the gateway to the gorgeous backwaters and lakes of Kerala, with its abundance of superb hideaway retreats and sedate river cruises aboard iconic and traditional houseboats. The area around the village is made up of a cluster of picturesque islands covered in lush vegetation and teaming with aquatic and avian wildlife. A highlight of the region is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which covers 14 acres of woodland and is home to a number of bird species such as the kingfisher, Make sure you do not miss out on Karimeen and fresh toddy, the favourite fresh water food and the local wine, On return to the hotel you shall join a tranquil sunset cruise on the lake before enjoying a further cultural performance,Overnight stay at Kumarakom.

Day 10: Kumarakom
Morning at Leisure, afternoon visit Kumarakom Bird sanctuary. Enjoy the in house facilities and ayurvedic Massage at the Backwater Resort. Overnight stay at the Resort.

Day 11: KumarakomMararikulam
After breakfast Check out and proceed to Mararikulam the fisher men village. One of the extremely enchanting places in Indian subcontinent is Marari Beach situated in Mararikulam village. Mararikulam is a sleepy fishing village, about 25 kms from Alleppey, The village of Mararikulam is tucked away behind a line of dense palms that rise like a green fortification on the sands. Set amidst the coconut groves the Marari Beach is an ideal destination, Spend the night at your hotel.

Day 12: Mararikulam
Day is free to relax, enjoy the in house facilities of the resort, explore the beach and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: Mararikulam Kochi
Check out after the breakfast and proceed to Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as ‘God’s Own Country’. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala, Check in at the resort in Kochi, Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 14: Kochi
Take a tour of the city visiting the Dutch Palace, which has some of India’s most beautiful murals, the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays Saturdays) in the heart of Jew Town and the cantilevered Chinese fishing nets. See St. Francis Church where Vasco da Gama was originally buried, and the Santa Cruz Church with its pastel coloured interior and carved wooden panels.

Day 15:Kochi Airport drop
After breakfast check out and proceed to Cochin for shopping and sightseeing, and will transfer to Cochin Airport as per the flight schedule. Tour Ends.
